Dr. Pusins, the owner of Pediatric Feeding Specialists, LLC, is a licensed/certified speech-language pathologist and prior board certified lactation consultant who specializes in infant/pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She received her Doctor of Clinical Science in Medical Speech Pathology degree from the University of Pittsburgh and has been awarded board certification in swallowing disorders from the American Board of Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. She has extensive experience in infant/pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders and has worked in both the outpatient and inpatient settings, including the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
Prior to starting her private practice, Dr. Pusins was an Associate Professor and clinical supervisor at Nova Southeastern University. She created and taught the Pediatric Feeding and Motor Speech Disorders graduate level course. She also assisted in developing the Kapila Family Foundation Feeding Disorders Clinic at Nova Southeastern University, which provided multidisciplinary feeding and swallowing management for children. Additionally, Dr. Pusins has presented at the state, national, and international levels and has published various manuscripts on topics related to feeding and swallowing disorders.
